When I started, I had a lot of headaches and tingling. As I continued, all my pains went away. I feel 10 years younger, and I think everyone should do Yoga. It's the most amazing feeling in the world. My main love with this studio is that it has helped me focus.

I feel so comfortable here. It's a place where you can really be yourself. Nobody likes an arrogant yogi, or an arrogant anything, and here everyone is just so chill and nonjudgmental. Even the spiritual side of yoga is presented in an accessible and down to earth way.

I was going to the chiropractor twice a week to take care of a chronic headaches. I decided to give yoga a try and I didn't like it the first time because I didn't sweat. So I didn't think of it as exercise; shortly after I started to look for different types of yoga. Sure enough, I found hot yoga and I was hooked. Once a week is a must. My headaches were reduced and I stopped going for adjustments. Once in awhile I try to sneak in the second time within the week if time permits. I am a teacher at New Paltz High School and all of my students know about my "Namaste" day. No matter what type of yoga you choose to practice, you will find yourself calm and centered at least that day.

I have been going to NP Rock Yoga since it opened in 2012 and have been practicing 4-5 days a week since, hooked on the studio and diversity of classes. The teachers are knowledgeable, warm, open, helpful and right there with you. Many preach ideas that are practical and logical both on and off the mat. It's amazing how even in a packed class you can feel that you are getting individual attention. As for the studio, the heat is authentically radiant and so you sweat from inside out rather than having forced air beat on you. It is also the only studio in the Hudson Valley where the reward of sweat is cross ventilation from both a front and back door while sniffing the sweet smell of cedar from walls.

Hot class helps keep me sane, happy, and balanced. I notice a huge difference in my ability to deal with the stress of life if I can only come to one class in a week, versus three or more. I feel so lucky and grateful that we have this studio right here in new paltz. As my beautiful friend and yogini Lori winters says- where else can you get a great workout, a facial, a sauna, and a deep meditation all in one?
